New shoes

Lil has been quite the get-up-and-goer for a while now. So I thought I had better get some shoes on my little big girl. This picture isn't really for showing her shoes, though. It's to give you a giggle at those chubby thighs.

Where are we?

Oops, another month long disappearance from me. I don't have any pictures to post either. Hate me all you want. Just give me a few days.

It has been almost a month since we've had internet service due to "the move". The company said service would start today but we couldn't try to connect until 7 pm due to logistics. So we tucked Lillie in and ran to get everything set up. We have sure missed our beloved internet.

Well I have lots to update on: we miss Philly (I say "we", but John would gladly remove himself from that statement if he ever read my blog), we love Tallahassee, we are thankful for lots of space in our new home (come visit!) and we are sweating our behinds off. Definitely more to come on this...

Swinging

It has been either chilly or rainy for the past few days but before that we were quite obsessed with visiting the park right down the street. We started a routine where John would come home a little early and we would head down to the park for a swing. Truthfully, John and I were way more excited than Lillie was. Eventually, though, she got the hang of it. See for yourself.




Why don't they make parent sized swings next to the kiddie swings?

Trouble brewin'

Remember Lillie's sidekicks that I told you about? They're always doting on her and finding cute little outfits for her. I know, it's such a horrible thing. A while back, John's mom took a much needed vacation and brought this adorable, and very fitting, pirate (you know how we love pirates) themed outfit back for Lillie.

10 months

Lillie is 10 months old. No kidding. It's such a reality check to me. I'm becoming as sentimental as they get too. Who knew that packing up clothes that my baby had grown out of would be so hard. That's only the beginning of it. She makes life so much more fun (and scary too).

At 10 months, Lillie:

-is quite animated with her faces. Sometimes she just sticks her tongue out because she realized it was there. Other times she squints her eyes and scrunches her nose to smile at someone.

is cruising and standing on her own, especially when she has important things in her hands.

absolutely loves making friends...big or small. Although she got quite scared of a man at church once she realized what his beard felt like.

has 8 teeth...still.

loves all things dairy...mama's milk, cheese, cottage cheese, yogurt. She has a love/hate relationship with veggies. Sometimes she's an independent eater and won't allow me to feed her and other times I have to coach her one bite at a time.
