I got "tagged"

Here are the rules:
1. Choose the 4th folder where you store your pictures on the computer
2. Select the 4th picture in the folder
3. Explain the picture
4. Tag 4 people to do the same
5. No cheating (cropping, editing, etc)

As if we don't talk about our cats enough, the picture had to pertain to them.  Here's a picture of our Lucy soon after she was spayed.  I just had to get a picture of her shaved belly because it was so cute.  She even has a tattoo from her experience.  We were told by the clinic that that tattoo would serve as a "marker" that she had been spayed in case she was lost or if there was ever a question.

Now I wish I knew who to tag, but I'm not sure who I've even shared this blog with to actually see that they were tagged!  Maybe it's time for me to send out a few emails.  I mean, nobody needs to miss this blog.

Can I re-tag you Lindz, so that you can choose a more interesting picture?  You know that I love you!

itty bitty news

Well, I guess that you could say it's big news in a small package...I'm pregnant! 4 months to be exact, and boy does news travel slowly. I think that we are still asking around "have you heard yet?" That's okay, it's always exciting to tell friends and family.

My due date is June 28th and we are totally excited. We have a LOT to do in the meantime to get ready for this baby. First thing on the list is finding a place to move. We already started working on that and decided to give it a rest.

My clothes are definitely not fitting as they used to (let's not say what they really are), and my sweet coworker has decided to make a bet that I'm having a boy because I'm already so, yes, she called me the b-word...big. Or did she use huge? I really haven't grown that much yet, so I thankfully did not take it to heart. I love her anyway.

John has also been very gracious and dealt with my "pregnancy tantrums" as he likes to call them. The sad thing is that when he tells me what I said, I have no clue that I said that or sounded that way. Luckily, I don't catch him laughing at me either.

All this to say, we are very excited and would be thankful for your prayers and encouragement over the next few months. Just the other night, we had an appointment with the doctor and got to hear the baby's heartbeat. It was honestly one of the most amazing things that either of us had ever heard. Life, what a truly amazing gift.

Mr. Clean

I think my husband is secretly the guy on the Mr. Clean bottle.  As a child I always thought that bottle in the cabinet was so cool because it had a cute little rhinestone somewhere on the bottle (was it his earring or the "sparkle" on the floor).  Anyway, after snapping at John in the car on the way home tonight, I found out that he had done a lot today.  The kitchen was the cleanest it has been in quite a few months!

Needless to say, I'm embarrassed for three reasons.  1) I haven't cleaned it in forever and he actually noticed how bad it had gotten. 2) My not-so-detailed husband did a really good job. 3) I sure gave him a hard time on the way home.  Luckily he forgave me for my nastiness.  Geez, I'm so thankful for him.

cat antics

I saw this in the paper a few weeks ago.  John and I had a good laugh at it because we could actually imagine our cats trying this.  If you have cats, you might enjoy this too.

hard work

John has been studying and working on papers a lot lately. Lucy and I have been really busy as well and I have proof...

backtracking

There are a ton of pictures that I have tucked away waiting to organize them one day.

Here's a picture I took last Fall (or the one before) of John's campus. This is actually a side view but includes pretty much every building on campus. It's just a bit smaller than ECU. :)

It's only the begining

I have really enjoyed reading numerous blogs over the past few months that I decided it's my turn to provide a little amusement. Our lives are pretty simple right now: work (aka "bringing home the bacon") for me and school for John. Hopefully we'll have a little bit of fun to share with our friends and family here on our blog!
